Thanksgiving with Job

I always think about Job at Thanksgiving and hold that his prayer is fitting for the occasion:

"The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away;
Blessed be the name of the Lord."

The challenge for birding, I suppose, is to appreciate slow days as well as big days, and missed target birds as well as life birds - difficult and elusive, but worth thinking about. 


Perhaps I have not appreciated Wild Turkeys enough in the past, as this is my only photo, and it does not do them justice.  No turkey on the menu for us today, by the way - vegetarians.
